Resolution No. 35152 of 26 June 2023 amending the ninth chapter of Title VI of the Single Circular of the Supervisory Authority for Industry and Trade: In view of International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML) recommendation R126:2021 "Evidential Breath Analyzers", the technical and metrological requirements to be met by the measurement instruments known as evidential breath analysers have been standardized, with a view to ensuring the quality of the measurements that they provide. The international standard was updated in 2021 and constitutes the technical basis for the notified technical metrological regulation. The validity of the technical metrological regulation applicable to evidential breath analysers, issued under Resolution No. 88919 of 28 December 2017 and amended by Resolutions No. 32074 of 26 June 2020 and No. 38984 of 21 June 2022, has been extended until 31 December 2023.

The notified draft Resolution seeks to establish the ICA application process for new products obtained through innovative genetic improvement, where the aim of this process is to determine whether such products are living modified organisms (LMOs) or conventional organisms. The provisions established in the text will apply to all natural or legal persons conducting research into genetic improvement and evaluating, producing, importing and/or exporting products that have been obtained through the use of innovative genetic improvement techniques deriving from modern biotechnology, where the end product does not contain foreign genetic material.

The risk analysis process is a technical scientific procedure conducted in accordance with international standards to establish animal health or phytosanitary conditions or requirements for the entry of animals, plants and their products and to facilitate trade. It is therefore necessary to define and adopt new guidelines for the establishment of such requirements at the national level, which should address the current global uncertainty surrounding food insecurity, climate change and other global challenges for accessing new markets, be in line with the guidelines established by the World Trade Organization and the relevant international agreements, and take into account the technical rigour required for such processes. In light of the above, the draft Resolution, which seeks to establish the conditions for the entry into the country of animals, plants and their products for which there are no sanitary and/or phytosanitary import requirements, is being submitted.

Resolution No. 634 of 17 June 2022 "prohibiting, in accordance with the Montreal Protocol, the manufacture and importation of equipment and products that contain the controlled substances listed in Annexes A, B, C, E and F of the Montreal Protocol and/or that require those substances in order to be operational or to function, and adopting other provisions": The notified Resolution establishes provisions applicable to all natural and legal persons that manufacture and/or import certain equipment and products, where these contain, have required for their production and/or require in order to be operational or to function, the controlled substances listed in Annexes A, B, C, E and F of the Montreal Protocol.
