Biotechnology - genetically modified organisms and derived products – Requirements for handling, transportation and use.

This Tanzania standard prescribes requirements for safe handling, transfer and use of genetically modified organisms ( GMOs ) and derived products. It is applicable to genetically modified organisms and derived products intended for contained and confined use, introduction into the environment , placing on the market, importation, transit and export, direct use as food, feed or for processing. This Tanzania standard is not applicable to genetically modified organisms and derived products which are pharmaceuticals.

Ventilation in underground mines - Part 1: Air quality requirements.

The Tanzania Standard gives requirements including specifications of acceptable quality of air in underground mines. The requirements are established with the aim of protecting health and safety of personnel working in underground mining environment. This standard gives air quality requirements for both coal and non-coal underground mines. The contents of this Tanzania standard shall not apply to tunneling in the construction industry.

Protection against ionizing radiation: Specification for industrial radiographic installations.

This Tanzania standard provides requirement for design of industrial radiographic installations for the use of sealed nuclear substances, including fixed (permanent) and temporary structures. It is only concern with radiation protection and safety for occupational, general public and environment and does not deal with radiographic techniques for non-destructive testing.

This Tanzania Standard prescribes the requirements, sampling and test methods for bleaching powder intended for household and industrial use.

Gloss solvent borne paints for interior and exterior use — Specification.

This Draft Uganda Standard specifies requirements, methods of sampling and test for three grades of gloss solvent-borne paints for interior and exterior use. This standard does not apply to automotive, road marking and Industrial applications.

Welded steel tanks for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) — Road tankers — Design and manufacture, First Edition.

This Draft Uganda Standard specifies minimum requirements for materials, design, construction and workmanship procedures, and tests for welded LPG road tanker tanks and their welded attachments manufactured from carbon , carbon /manganese and micro alloy steels. This standard does not cover tanks for ISO type containers.
