General Services: Research: All these activities are commonly carried out every year include Research development programs and administration on specific commodity and products such as vanilla, kava, squash, watermelon, pineapple, papaya, bananas, root crops, including animal health and production research and development, genetic and sustainable crop and livestock production system and climate resilient system. Research activities on production of seeds and planting materials plus various projects in various years including, Domestication & Breeding of sandalwood (ACIAR); Soil Management in PICs (ACIAR); Enhanced Fruit Production and postharvest handling systems (ACIAR); Enhancing resilience of Food Security; Enhanced Capacity for integrating disaster risk reduction (DRR) in agriculture; Tonga Health Project to promote healthy lifestyle.

Extension and advisory services: Extension and advisory services, including extension programs administration to farmers and community development groups, transfer of information and results of research to producers and consumers, provide technical advises on crops, pests and diseases control in crops, livestock production, husbandry and health management, forestry management and climate change and disaster risk management to farmers, women and youth groups, etc.
