Its requirements are tied in with those of the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and their Disposal, and an OECD decision on transboundary movements of waste for recovery.


The regulation applies to hazardous wastes and other wastes as listed in the schedules of the Basel Convention.
