R&D Project to develop technology to manage foreign organisms threatening biodiversity:
This research project is designed to safeguard indigenous biological resources and secure the biosafety and security of the ecosystem by developing technology to systematically manage foreign organisms threatening biodiversity.
This project is to prevent entry of the entire foreign organisms which are already introduced in the Republic of Korea and to pre-empt the introduction of new foreign organisms while developing technology to manage foreign organisms in all cycles including surveillance, risk assessment and eradication. Morphological and molecular biological distinction technology for foreign organisms which are not introduced in the Republic of Korea yet, is developed in order to pre-empt their introduction. (...)

Building Infrastructure for Smart Horticultural Complex:
In the Republic of Korea, greenhouse horticultural farms are small-sized with old and small horticultural facilities, leading to low management efficiency. Also, some greenhouse complexes are outdated with weak agricultural infrastructure, making them vulnerable to natural disasters and environmental pollution. As a result, the Korean government began this project in 2017 in order to improve weak agricultural substructure.

Through this project, infrastructure will be established and renovation will be supported for ten horticultural complexes from 2017 to 2025. To be specific, infrastructure including roads, irrigation and drainage canals, electricity, soil preparation and wastewater treatment facilities will be in place while the infrastructure of old greenhouse complexes which are vulnerable to natural disasters and environmental pollution will be repaired or renovated, thereby enhancing the fundamental environment.
