Decision of the Flemish Government of 16 November 2012 regarding the granting of aid to enterprises for strategical ecological investments in the Flemish Region (Strategic ecology support or STRES) – SA.54204:
The Flemish Government agrees with the overall aim of reduction and reorientation of aid measures towards more horizontal objectives. The promotion of ecological investments is a valuable tool in achieving that goal.

Decision of the Flemish Government of 16 November 2012 regarding the granting of aid to enterprises for strategical ecological investments in the Flemish Region (Strategic ecology support or STRES) – SA.54204:
The Flemish Government agrees with the overall aim of reduction and reorientation of aid measures towards more horizontal objectives. The promotion of ecological investments is a valuable tool in achieving that goal.
The scheme has been developed to provide aid to all enterprises, regardless of their size, for ecological investments. Depending on the type of investment (environmental protection, energy, renewals, etc.), various aid intensities are possible, within the maximum limits of the EU GBER.

The decision of the Flemish Government of 16 November 2012 came into force on 28 February 2013. The scheme was amended slightly in 2015 to bring it in line with the new 2014 GBER. The scheme will continue until 2023.

Priority Axis 3: "Energy and effective usage of the resources" and the following scheme: "Energy efficiency for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)" (SA. 49451 and SA.45511) and "Increasing the energy efficiency in large enterprises" (SA. 49452 and SA.47618); "Energy and effective usage of the resources" and the following scheme: "Support for Pilot and Demonstration of Resource Efficiency" (SA.50078).
Aid is granted to beneficiaries (selected after fulfilment of rules and procedure previewed under the Operational program) from the manufacturing industry; 85% co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund (EFRD) and 15% co-financing from the state budget of the Republic of Bulgaria.

Environment related objective
The primary objective is environmental protection through promotion of energy production from renewable energy sources. The State support for renewable energy is necessary in order to achieve the national target for the share of renewable energy in the gross final energy consumption of the country in 2020 as established in the Directive 2009/28/EC on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources.
Measure description Coverage of the measure
Support for renewable energy generation in Bulgaria (SA.51542- Changes to the scheme of support to RES production in Bulgaria).
The beneficiaries of the measure are producers of electricity from renewable sources, with the exception of hydroelectric power plants with an installed capacity of more than 10 MW.
