L.I. 2457 - Energy Commission (Energy Efficiency Standards and Labelling) (Electric Kettles) Regulations, 2022: The purpose of these Regulations is to promote the efficient use and conservation of energy in the country and mitigate related climate change by: a) providing for i) the enforcement of standards set out in the First Schedule and the minimum energy performance standards set out in Part One of the Second Schedule; ii) the labelling of electric mains-operated electric kettles; iii) supplementary information on electric mains-operated electric kettles and iv) the registration of models of electric kettles in the Appliance Efficiency Register; and b) prohibiting the manufacture, importation, offer for sale, sale, storage, donation, disposal, installation or use of an electric kettle that does not meet the minimum energy performance standards set out in Part One of the Second Schedule.
