Draft Commission Regulation implementing Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to ecodesign requirements for household tumble dryers, amending Commission Regulation (EC) No 1275/2008, and repealing Commission Regulation (EU) No 932/2012: This draft Commission Regulation covers products designed for the drying of household laundry to be placed on the EU market. The draft regulation lays down minimum energy performance requirements, in particular on power demand in active mode and for the low power modes of household tumble dryers; minimum condensation efficiency performance; appropriate requirements contributing to circular economy objectives in particular, requirements on resource efficiency including availability of necessary spare parts and maximum delivery time thereof, access to repair and maintenance information, information requirements for refrigerant gases, requirements for disassembly for the purpose of repair and for material recovery and recycling, and information requirements. In accordance with the Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC, household tumble dryers not meeting these requirements will not be allowed to be placed on the EU market. The draft Regulation is based on the findings of technical, environmental and economic studies and takes into account the opinions of the different stakeholders.

Draft Commission Regulation implementing Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards ecodesign requirements for local space heaters and repealing Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1188: The draft regulation lays down minimum energy performance requirements, in particular on power demand in active mode and for the low power modes of local space heaters; The draft regulation extends and clarifies the scope of ecodesign requirements by removing the exemption for slave heaters, which will now come in the scope of ecodesign rules, and by including energy efficiency targets for towel rails. It also lays down appropriate requirements contributing to circular economy objectives in particular, requirements on resource efficiency including availability of necessary spare parts and maximum delivery time thereof, access to repair and maintenance information, requirements for disassembly for the purpose of repair and for material recovery and recycling, and information requirements. In accordance with the Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC, local space heaters not meeting these requirements will not be allowed to be placed on the EU market. The draft Regulation is based on the findings of technical, environmental and economic studies and takes into account the opinions of the different stakeholders.
